Conditional Enlightenment

Thought of the day:  Conditional enlightenment

Today I went to the renaissance festival, here in Colorado. While I was there I started looking around out the different types of people. This led me to start wondering about why the people were the way that they were. Furthermore it led me to start analyzing why people are the way the are. I looked around and saw a guy that had a baby and he appeared to be with the babies mom since she was the one pushing the cart. I started studying the individual more closely and I came to the conclusion that he was the way that he was because of the factors that had come into play throughout his life time. At that moment I realized that this particular gentleman would probably never have a good job or a descent income because of his upbringing. Now one cant say that this would be the same in every situation, since obviously some may over come there past and become very successful. However one can probably safely say that on average the odds are against him.

Now thinking that his future was in a sense predetermined for him by his upbringing, made me begin a thread of thought about the affect of upbringing period. Could it be possible that a single human being, like this gentlemen, could be raised in a manner that was so different and so unique that the individual was actually in a sense of the term enlightened. Could it be through some unforeseen condition that this may be possible, or better yet could it have already happened? Take Jesus for instants, could he have been such an individual? Not actually sent by god but an abstraction of nature that had the perfect chemical and social combinations?
